Preposition

Preposition biasa disebut dengan kata depan, preposition bekerja seperti Conjunction, yaiti menghubungkan noun atau pronoun pada kata lain dalam suatu kalimat.

Nah disini terdapat Preposisi yang biasa digunakan.

Prepositional phrase adalah kumpulan kata yang diawali dengan Preposisi dan diakhiri dengan noun atau promoun. Prepositional phrase bisa berfungsi sebagai Adjective atau Adverb.

Contoh:

Manuela, the student from Germany,  wrote an excellent paper on the computer.

Oh iya, ada juga nih aturan yang special untuk preposisi AT, ON, IN dan TO. Aturannya ada 20 aturan, namun tidak wajib dihapal ko, sekedar pengetahuan saja.

Prepositions "On", "At", dan "In"

Preposition adalah kata yang menghubungkan noun, pronoun, or noun phrase pada bagian lain dalam kalimat.

Prepositions Bisa jadi membingungkan untuk orang yang belajar bahasa Inggris. Karena tidak ada aturan pasti untuk menggunakan presposisi ini. Pada tahap awal pembelajaran bahasa Inggriskamu harus mencoba mendefinisikan preposisi ketika membaca atau mendengarkan bahasa Inggris dan mengenali penggunaanya.

Preposition digunakan untuk menunjukan arah, lokasi atau waktu, atau untuk memperkenalkan sesuatu.

Digunakan untuk menunjukan pada permukaan sesuatu:

• I put an egg on the kitchen table.
• The paper is on my desk.

Digunakan untuk menetapkan hari dan tanggal:

• The garbage truck comes on Wednesdays.
• I was born on the 14th day of June in 1988.

Digunakan untuk menunjukan perangkat atau mesin, seperti HP atau komputer:

• He is on the phone right now.
• She has been on the computer since this morning.
• My favorite movie will be on TV tonight.

Digunakan untuk menunjukan bagian tubuh:

• The stick hit me on my shoulder.

Prepositions "Of", "To", dan "For"

Digunakan untuk termasuk pada, hubungan ke, atau hubungan dengan sesuatu:

• Don’t touch it. That’s the bag of my friend’s sister.
